When you come in, you’ll work together with a Dietitian to decide on the food intake that best suits you and your needs specifically.

Who is a Dietitian?

Dietitians are Allied Health Professionals specialising in Medical Nutrition Therapy. Based on your medical condition, Dietitian provides individualised meal plans, nutrition education and also practical advice in lifestyle modification to optimise your health outcomes. In addition to seeking advice from doctors, Dietitian assists you to make right choices on food for a healthier lifestyle.


Session with Avisena’s Dietitian

Early session from a Dietitian enables timely dietary changes to be made to prevent complications resulting from an illness or disease.

First session

This session will be the longest. You’ll be assessed on your food habits, exercise levels and lifestyle. Responses should be as clear and accurate as possible. Enabling your Dietitian to create the most suitable nutrition plan for you. Do bring a family member, for support

Follow-up session

It’s hard to totally change years of ingrained food habits. This is why after the first consultation, Dietitian may set a date for the next appointment to discuss the accomplishments of goals and explore the reasons behind them

How do I get referred?

  • Kindly contact the Dietitian Clinic to make appointment
  • We accept referral and self-referred patients.
  • If you have just seen a general practitioner outside of AVISENA, please bring along a referral letter from the referring doctor OR if you have recently make medical check screening please bring the laboratory test results.
