Avisena World Children’s Day Lights Up Hearts with “Unleashing Your Potential For A Brighter Tomorrow” Celebration

Avisena Women’s & Children’s Specialist Hospital hosted a spectacular celebration on World Children’s Day, 18th November 2023, with the theme “Unleashing Your Potential For A Brighter Tomorrow.” The event, attended by over 300 visitors, featured engaging activities designed to unleash the inner heroes of the young participants, fostering the enhancement of their abilities and capabilities.

The day’s activities included the thrilling “Balancing Hero,” where children showcased their agility, the exciting “Destroy the Monster,” allowing them to conquer imaginary fears, the creative “Create Your Own Hero” station, and the entertaining “Spin & Pin,” challenging their coordination skills. The “Best Dressed Competition” added an extra layer of excitement, as young participants flaunted their imaginative costumes. These activities are designed to elevate their developmental skills and build self-confidence to help them exceed their potential.

Adding an extra layer of joy to the celebration, a balloonist clown roamed the premises, spreading happiness and positivity to patients in the wards. The event was not just a celebration but a collective effort to empower and celebrate children, creating an environment where their potential could shine.

One of the highlights of the day was the special booth dedicated to the Child Development Centre, aimed at raising awareness about in-depth assessments and interventions for children with special needs. Our team which consisted of an occupational therapist, speech therapist, and an audiologist offered insights into thorough paediatric and neurological examinations, focusing on developmental, psychological, language, speech, and hearing factors as part of a comprehensive developmental package.

Parents and children actively participated in the games, creating unforgettable memories that will be cherished for years to come. The event successfully combined entertainment with education, fostering an environment where children could not only have fun but also learn about their individual strengths and abilities.
