Specialist Background

Dr Ahmad Murad is a vastly experienced Consultant Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G), specializing in Fertility treatments. As a medical officer at various leading government and teaching hospitals since 1992, Dr Ahmad Murad has garnered vital skills in the field of O&G, especially in state-of-the-art fertility treatments which is his sub-specialty.

His credentials also extend to academia, whereby he was an Associate Professor at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), which he joined in 1998.

During his tenure there, he was entrusted with the post of Head of Department at the Kulliyyah of Medicine, IIUM Kuantan. His fundamental role was in designing and setting up the IIUM Fertility Centre and IVF labs.

In 2009, Dr Ahmad Murad was appointed the first Director of the IIUM Fertility Centre. After leaving IIUM in 2013, Dr Ahmad Murad worked as a Consultant Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at a private centre in Johor before joining KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital, Kuala Lumpur in 2020.

Currently, his interest in providing and extending IVF services has attracted him to join Avisena IVF team as a resident Consultant Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) specializing in Fertility treatments.
